Public Access Defibrillator Program

A community initiative of Medavie Health Services New Brunswick

Just as the name indicates, our Public Access Defibrillation (PAD) Program aims to see defibrillators become as widely accessible to the public as possible – so they can be used quickly and effectively to save the life of someone whose heart has stopped beating.

We assist organizations in obtaining an AED, registering it with our Medical Communications Management Centre, placing it in a location that is visible and accessible, and using it to save the life of someone in cardiac arrest.

Know of an organization that could benefit from the PAD Program? Connect them to our PAD Program Coordinator, Mary-Lou Price, and help increase the survival rate of sudden cardiac arrest.
