As the management company for Ambulance New Brunswick and the Extra-Mural Program, we’re looking for a Coordinator, Clinical Education to help support our growing operation which provides exemplary, highly coordinated primary health care in the right place, from the right provider, at the right time.

This Clinical Education Coordinator will be responsible for the overall continuing and restorative education of Ambulance New Brunswick’s paramedics and to ensure that quality emergency health services are being provided by ANB through continuous and targeted learning programs based on evidence and best practices. Reporting to the Manager, Training and Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for overseeing clinical and operational training programs.
Responsibilities:
- Administer or implement training related applications including the Learning Management System (Itacit);
- Manage training curricula for multiple departments;
- User Management-Troubleshooting access to the site and courses;
- Upload Training Content (SCORM Files);
- Perform data analysis. Validates report data;
- Create, maintain, and update management structures;
- Input data and perform quality control of data input by other training staff;
- Recognize trends and provide feedback to training management;
- Conduct educational needs assessments; design and develop the curriculum for clinical learning programs.
- Monitor the progress of provincial training to ensure consistency; adapting where necessary;
- Design and perform post-impact analysis for clinical learning programs;
- Drive continuous quality improvement through process re-engineering within a performance-based model, and follow up to ensure that improvements implemented are effective and resolve identified issues/concerns;
- Develop and provide investigative expertise to other divisions;
- Prepare and deliver ad-hoc educational initiatives resulting from the recognition of trends identified during audits, investigations and industry best practices;
- Hold an active role with employee recruitment and organizational promotion;
- Undertake research and work collaboratively with the Department of Health and the OPMD to identify, evaluate and recommend clinical and professional standards, protocols/guidelines and procedures appropriate for the Ambulance New Brunswick system;
- Represent the TQA department and ANB on internal and external committees;
- Remain current in practice and carry out duties and responsibilities of a paramedic in accordance with the professional requirements to maintain active licensure;
- Support the Clinical Quality Coordinators as needed;
- Act as a clinical consultation resource to entire organization.
As an ideal candidate, you:
- possess post-secondary education in a health care discipline supplemented with a diploma/degree in adult education or an equivalent combination of experience and education
- Registered with PANB and have a minimum of five years (5) of field experience, preferably at the Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) level and with 2-3 years in a leadership role;
- have proven experience with adult educational teaching concepts and facilitation;
- Previous demonstrated CQI program experience an asset.
- possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills;
- Managing and developing the protocols for all online courses to include curricula, learning plans, assets;
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Articulite e-learning software (training to be provided);
- Understanding of business process review, evaluation and change management concepts and methodologies;
- are well organized with a high level of attention to detail;
- Leadership abilities with a proven track record for inspiring and motivating others;
- are able to work in an ever-changing environment to tight deadlines;
- have demonstrated leadership abilities with a proven track record for inspiring and motivating others.
Bilingualism would be considered an asset. Travel may be required.
