As the management company for Ambulance New Brunswick and the Extra-Mural Program, we’re looking for a Coordinator, Clinical Education to help support our growing operation which provides exemplary, highly coordinated primary health care in the right place, from the right provider, at the right time.

We are looking for an individual who will be responsible to ensure that contractual and corporate educational expectations are met and exceeded in achieving excellence in patient care. Reporting to the Manager, Training and Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for overseeing clinical and operational training programs.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • conducting needs assessments for all clinical learning programs;
  • facilitating working groups on clinical curriculum design;
  • creating and implementing e-learning and traditional in-service educational curriculum;
  • participating in clinical interviews and new employee orientations;
  • evaluating and reporting on paramedic clinical performance;
  • designing and performing post impact analyses for clinical learning programs;
  • coordinating professional development for Field Training Paramedics (FTPs) and paramedics in other roles;
  • evaluating FTP performance and providing feedback;
  • designing and conducting remedial training;
  • maintaining appropriate educational facilities and equipment;
  • participating in related committees as necessary.

As an ideal candidate, you:

  • possess post-secondary education in a health care discipline supplemented with a diploma/degree in adult education or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • have a minimum of five years of field experience, preferably at the Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) level;
  • have proven experience with adult educational teaching concepts and facilitation;
  • possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills;
  • demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • are well organized with a high level of attention to detail;
  • are able to work in an ever-changing environment to tight deadlines;
  • have demonstrated leadership abilities with a proven track record for inspiring and motivating others.

Bilingualism would be considered an asset. Travel may be required.
